At Care Practice, Dr. Alex Zaphiris takes care of infants, children and teens as part of her primary care practice. She specializes in using integrative approaches to pediatrics.
For newborns, the first newborn visit is typically a home visit when the baby is 2 days old. She coordinates care with other providers and has access to pediatric specialists as needed.
As a family doctor, she often cares for both the child and one or both parents in a family. This is the beauty of family medicine. Dr. Zaphiris has appeared several times on the Bay Area Home Birth Collective’s Vaccine Panel speaking on childhood vaccinations. She offers an alternate vaccine schedule and vaccine only visits between well child appointments.
In the event your child is sick, all the doctors at Care Practice see infants and children for urgent visits 7 days a week.
